lovely. Helen rowed Mama & me nearly up to Stearns' - passing several new cottages & some old one (Fisher's - gone to rack & ruin) and a camp or so. Then we went into the most ideally still and lovely little cove and changed seats and I rowed back. Mr. Willard was waiting for us & sug- gested fishing again. Helen was eager to & I said I'd row - thinking he was partly in fun as he very seldom fishes on Sunday. He went up & got the flies ready however. It was cold when we got up to the cottage & dark (under the trees) & they had taken the ferns out of the pretty little fire place & built a cheery fire & Marrin
had baked Kn potatoes & hot rolls & had "Kneipe coffee". We all ate heartily - needless to say - and then Mate sang to the old melodeon & Baby entertained us for all an hour. He knows every time she plays before she
