John and Ella

to show us - a gold Elgin watch (with a diamond in) and fob (jewelled) - (Will O. had told me accident all about it before - very confidentially) We went over to the church with Freddy & had seats in "the baldheaded row" Frank D. came. The first play wasn't anything extra except Miss Chase but the second was very good for ameteurs. Freddy took her part well & sang well and Florence Cross was splendid & looked beautiful in a white Empire gown & red shoes & red silk stockings on They introduced some clever "take-offs" - and the play was good anyway (same as a "Box of Monkey's")
It was late - I rode up with Ned & Frank & some of the actors (Florence Remington, Alex Otis & Mr. King) Rode up Ex. St.
with Luther Foote & Ida Bickford. May 19. Friday A beautiful day at last & quite cold Nothing special happened. After supper I rode my wheel out to the Rapids met Klem & we went 'way up in the park - which was perfectly beautiful. Sat on a bench a long
