Beach
gave a take-off on the Mandolin Orchestra & its recitationist! etc. etc. Also danced. Went home at last about 10:30 A girl in the car had a brand new diamond - her gloves off - and the young man with her! It actually snowed when we got home. Dec. 26. Tuesday Thermometer down to 15°. Gilmore sick. General after-Xmas air per- vades. Wrote & read letters (from Frank
& Mr. Hodges & Lura Baker postponing Euchre club) Mae came up at 5:30 for a chat & then I went over to church and heard the last of Ed. Burke's performance & saw the be- ginning of the Xmas tree distribution. After supper Papa, Mama & I
