[1893] was warmly greeted by all the girls. The entertainment was very good. 4 little girls sang the Babe's [illegible] from Wang & Effie had a Delsarte drill. &c. &c. Afterwards, ice cream The babies were very cute & so was little Dorothy Cross. Freddy & Ned saw me to the car. I was rather late [#] I didn't say before that I got up at 6 this morning and had a lovely ride on my wheel - it was just the right sort of morning. Out to Granger Place, Mt. Hope & Alex- ander St. E. Ave.way. Then thro' Oxford & Brighton Ave. & N. Goodman & Monroe & Meigs (the first I got off) and out Meigs till I struck the country & was lost! After some wandering in hills & dales & found I was near the Hannemann Hospital & then I found South Ave. & Linden St. & came home that way. The new Clarissa St. bridge is very nice - Had a good appetite later! May 12. Friday Very hot till afternoon, then cooler I think there were cooling showers around us. Ned came
