musicians & nearly all stringed instruments - The "Symphonie Poem", Le Rouet d'Omphale - I enjoyed the most, tho' all was delightful. I did not care so much for Fraulein Kaschoska - but Adamowski was tall & handsome & a magnificent player. It was early & so pleasant when it was over that we walked home. May 4. Thurs. Frederica stayed with me. It commen- ced to rain just before we went to sleep last night & rained without ceasing all day & evening to-day. We got up late & it was after nine when F. & I took the car for down town. Mr. Husband got in. Rode home again at noon and walked the other times. Papa got home & he read to Mama & me this evening. I cut out trimming, went to bed early & slept late - was aw- fully sleepy. Still cloudy - all day. May 5. Friday Ned came up this morning I went there at noon & she came for me at night - and I walked up the hill with her
