Spent the morning working, reading &c and after noon Ned came and had dinner with us - and a long talk A little before dark she and I went over and called on Mamma Nourse and had such a nice little visit - the first since she returned from Chicago. She looked sweet & pretty & young - wanted us to stay to tea but we didn't. Rode down with Ned & left her at the corner
