They tried to get me to pro- mise to meet them and go to "Mr. X." at the 1st Universalist Church to-night. I didn't promise, however. After sup- per Claude & I decided to go & see John Drew & Maud Adams in "The Marked Ball". I enjoyed it immensely - es- pecially their two parts. A young Dr "Paul" and his wife. There were parts in it that were fairly delicious - but the play
