Dec. 8th Friday. Still cold & skating weather & good sleighing. Busy all day & tired at night but went with Mama to the "Kaffir - Zulu" concert at the Central Church. It was quite amusing. Some of the women were quite good looking (there were 7 tribes) and one in five looked like the Dahomie. The two little boys - with only one garment on their little bodies were great favorites & took active part. The most fun was between the acts when they old all sold books of songs! The English "Manager" - an Oscar Wilde young man - made a speech before every single song. He was quite unique. Claude went to the Genesee Valley Club Ball tonight. I was invited too "Reception at 3., Dancing at. 8." - very swell indeed! Dec. 9 Saturday. Warmer & rather slushy & by night it rained & skating & most of the sleighing were gone. Shopped noon & night (Xmas). Edithwas up to bring me that old picture of Ned's which she has finished and Mama came & she & I went up town together. We bought Charella's presents (silver scissors &
