Stella Williams Mama's colored girl was here to dinner.
The little dancer did some lovely things "by moonlight." It was quite cute. I liked the scene where Geffry & his friend rob the squire & the duet - in the last one. I rode up in the car this p.m. with such a queer horsey - but niceish looking man - with blazing diamonds Aug 18. Friday. Claude gave me a nice new picture of himself - taken Aug 1 - which everyone says "doesn't flatter him"! Ned invited me into going down to supper with her -but first we went up & got our customary evening phosphate & saw the books at the German book store. Edith was expecting me & happy & nice & we had quite a hilarious time. Freddy came & sat in the hammock with us after supper & we talked sense and nonsense combined (I think) I had on a reckless mood & Ned an appreciative & happy one. Frank Davis came & I left about 8:45 - Edithseeing me to the car. Found that Will Orchard had called - and Ted
 &May Vickery. Frank Decker tele- phoned me this noon that he wanted to come up tonight - but had some cousins here
