Tho' I wasn't exactly bored either Saw the Chapins & Mrs Hitchcock coming out. The girls walked to the car with me. Apr. 7. Friday It was pouring when I woke up this morning & just as Mama called me it thundered & lightened awfully. I took the car down it rained so - cold horrid rain. Lit the gas log & managed to exist - with my violets to re- mind me of spring. Gave one to "Gilly" & one to Will. Read a little in "Sweet Bells" this noon. I like it. Came home to find Mama out. Got on my slippers & red jacket & "Knocked up" a supper - with her aid and spent the evening - mostly - writing. Apr. 8. Sat. Warm to-day. Warm enough to go without a wrap, but I didn't. Walked down with the black eyed girl on Exchange St. (friend of Behn's - I forget her name) In the afternoon took Ediths umbrella & went home. Walked down. Some of the grass is quite green.
