Oct. 24. Tuesday
Pleasant again. Nothing happened to-day except that Klem & Nellie
appeared again and regaled us with their adventures (Klem had her pocket picked - but no money
in it - and Will went to sleep coming home and was carried on to
Fairport!) Read "Harper's" all evening.
Oct. 25. Wed.
I didn't say I went up to Sibley's
new store last night and coming down we met Frank and Mrs
Hess
and I actually didn't know the boy till he smiled at me. His
glasses and recent moustache change him so. To-day was much colder
(It was "balmy" yes- terday) I stayed down to Sibley's
to dinner & had another interview with Miss Thomas. Fred
Beach called again & I "had some fun with him"!
Mae and Edith
were in at night and I saw
Edith on her car. She made me
promise to come to tea tomorrow night so I invited her to the "Show".
Helped Mama settle the dining room
tonight - and read her Scribners.
