Slushy to-day. I had to go to my new dressmaker's and be fitted
and she told me about her Sunday School class party (Methodist)
Frank
telephoned after
dinner to know if I'd be home to receive him this evening - and of
course I was and he came in a very stunning Carlsbad hat -
violets - a new ring & a new
diamond - 1/2 carats! and so on and his hair quite different
from the old pompadour. He stayed till half past ten and promised to
come up and show me Hattie Hess's picture (the
girl in the next office - that he walks-up with and that he shows
my pictures to) so I could recognize her at the German
Gym. We talked as usual & I told him about
Gilmore's joke and let him read
my last year's Valentine
at which he laughed of course.
He admires my emerald very much - & my green dress of course and
my shoes &c. When he
