and pretty soon Charella came - on her way to our church. We talked "World Fair" of course. She looked so pretty in green Went to church. It was a song service and very lovely. Afterwards read till late. Had lunch & then went to bed May 27. Monday
Louise can't go to Chicago! - Eyes.
Ned and Edith came in this noon and in- veighled me into going to the "Wilburs" tonight. Fredrica came in later. I met there - Ned, Freddy,Edith, Jen C. and Mae at Dake's & we all sat in the 2nd row of the balcony and "took it in" extensively. The Cooks were in a box. Saw the Davis' (3) and Lura Baker coming out. It was late. May 23. Tuesday Hot day. Went to Miss Thomas' about my organdie dress this noon. Wore my new silk shirt this p.m. Ned came for me & it was quite cold by night. Rushed around matching ribbon. In the evening took Frederica to Billy Orchard's concert. Miss Richards sang very well & looked sweet & Will looked handsome & proud. I rather enjoyed it. The concert as a whole wasn't very much good. May 23 24. Wed. A fine day! Was out a long time this morning buying ribbon for my dress (23 yds.)
