Very warm for June & I haven't been much good - or done very
much to-day. Stayed till nearly 6 talking to Gilmore about the Fair & looking at his negatives. After
supper Mama went to hear
Lyman Abbott, and I read a little (after
downing white) "snoozed" a litter, read a little more, & wrote a
little. Hot.
June 21 Wed.
Warm and pleasant. Was real busy,
JWC came & Mrs Cutler was down In the evening Ned came over (she came up to the office at
noon & at five) and we sat by the sitting room window & had
a long talk and a "Confessional". I tried to advise and comfort but
don't know as I succeeded. We kissed good-bye over on Caledonia
Ave. as usual!
