At six John & Otho came down the front stairs & into the front parlor - John looking very handsome & very pale. Up thro' the parlor came the ushers. Then Lois
- beautiful in white with an im- mense boquet of pink roses. Then Mae on her father's arm. Her dress was heavy white silk, train her hair high, with a white rose in it & her big boquet of white roses, & she looked sweet & modest, but not embarrassed. Dr. Stebbins married them, and I never saw a handsomer, nor a sweeter young couple - everyone seemed to love them - & old Mr. Stull looked so proud. He thinks Mae is perfect. Of course we congratulated & petted them and the boys assured John that "he done noble". Then we had some lemonade out of the big punch bowl under the stairs, and while the "first table" ate, went up and saw the whole room full of presents. They had given our "Mercury" the place of honor - in
