my new arrangement of hair. Wanted me to come up 8-night. Edith was coming (& Mae W. but didn't) and came for me again at five - but I didn't go - spent the evening at home - reading &c. Apr. 18. Tuesday. Mam Ned & Edith came up this noon for a little visit. Ned showed me her new dress & E. liked my hair too - & even little Willie does - so I'll have to wear it so. I guess. They came up again at five and I met Ned, by arrangement at Dake's in the evening & went over to the Armory on Gilmore's invitation to see the First Separate Company inspected. Frank Davis came up and rescued us from the appalling idea of walking across that big armory alone in quest of seats. Helen D. was with Mrs. Crosby & Frank sat with us. Down at the South end - by Mr. Walbridge too, & "Miss Hobb" & Mrs. Frear & Cornelia Robinson & the military young man. Saw lots of people.
