Auntie & Ted came over this evening.
Dec. 28 Thurs. It poured when I walked home with Willie to-night - and I was tired. But I went to my Lilla's - never the less. Found Mamma and Lilla and Mollie - all lovely and looking fine and had a lovely visit. Lilla tried some guessing game on me and they showed me their Xmas from Ned (Jap. plates &c.) and Lilla & I talked over Olive Schreiner a little and "Jefferson" (with Mollie) and I had to tell them a little about Ned and they said - Lilla said - & the others agreed - that I was the one after all who prophesied right about her - and I did. Met Miss Nellie Chase on the car coming home. Got Ruth's picture-framed - from Ed. Dec. 29. Friday. Frank
's birthday. Dear me is he 26! Gilmore was down - looking rather pale & shaky. Had a letter from Ned and answered it tonight. I had to tell her how Pleased they were - Lilla & Mollie - with what she was doing. Read the magazines. Dec. 30. Saturday Mama's birthday,(56) and looks as sweet and young and handsome as - well 40. Snow to-day. At five I rode up with Mr. Gilmore and went to see dear Jonesy. Poor dear girl
