a talk with Mama & Claude (Papa went to Utica) I put on my new dress & went up to Ned's (by request) Both she & Mama admired it very much. Had a nice visit and some peanuts & she lent me "The Drama" by Henry Irving (I just took back "Shadows of the Stage" & two other books.) & walked to the corner with me. If we only stay a week at Chicago we're going to Grandma's (I say) or Pleasant Pt. (Ned suggested) or somewhere for the rest of the time - later. Rode down in the car with Mrs. Losey & let her see the title of my book. Saw Will O. and "Maude" on the four corners. Wrote later. May 3. Wed. A sort of a gray day - but not rainy. Did some shopping this morning At night went to the Boston Symphony concert at the Lyceum with Fred erica (met her at Dake's) Will O & Miss Richards sat the row back of us on one side and Claude & Charella the row in front of us on the other. The concert was magnificent - 70
