Then Ned, Claude & I went up to Van Houten's & had chocolate in the blue-tiled room - with the cupboard beds, 500 yr. old door, 300 yr. old desk &c. &c. Then went into the Liberal Arts & helped Ned hunt up mouldings - The French - and then Tiffany's - which was fine. The most lovely green library - all rich soft tones but two bright orange & gilt chairs. Green oak table & chairs - green brass handles. Green serpentine marble fireplace seats and green leather cushions - glass hanging &c most beautiful. Also lovely inlay, glass and mosaic work. A chapel with windows &c.&c.&c. The best exhibit yet.
