May Bragdon Diary, August 11, 1893 – August 12, 1893, p. 177

stayed a little while - complimented me because I looked so "nice & cool" (I had on my wash silk waist) & said I could have the rest of my vacation pretty soon as he was going away. I went down & talked to the boys awhile & then "Billy" came up & talked to me & promised me his new photograph. Ned spent half an hour with me this noon, too. Walked up Main St. while Claude & Will & C

& I "went shopping". After supper took a bath and then lay in the hammocks & read till dark & then wrote. Saturday Aug 12 A nice cool still rain this morning. Claude started for Oswego and the Hill. Will came up this morning & Ned & we had quite a jolly - theatrical conversation for half an hour. She says she will go to Pleasant Point with me on the Sunday J.G. is away. I left the office about 12:30 and went to Charella's to lunch. Had a real good time. Mrs. Archie Clark was there & Bess O'Hara - Charella's cousin & Florence Beach

I think Miss O'Hara is real cute
