gone they went to the Matinee again ("Americans Abroad") Spent the evening by the fire (grate) reading & being read to from new magazines Nov. 26 Sunday I slept till 12:30 this noon! And then took a bath &c. & didn't get down till nearly 1:30 so my break- fast was my dinner. Wrote a little, helped with the dishes, and then Ned & Edith came (about 4) and we went up to Mamma Nourse's & stayed till after nine - having tea there. Had quite a nice visit and Mamma promised to give me Lilla's picture (with her consent) Coming home Ned got to teazing me (to Edith's dis- comfort) and we had quite a lark. Parted at the corners & I came home & read the papers &c. Bed at 12+ Nov. 27. Monday. Cloudy & still torn up at the office. Went up town and paid my dentist and so on. Met Mae in Sibley's with Mrs. Seidel and we went and looked at a toy Ferris wheel. Also met Ned at noon. It poured this evening but I promised to go
