would evidently have done anything for me - if I'd let her. I see her attitude but I don't believe in her excuse - that is, I don't believe it really excuses her - but there is no use in telling her. She will never understand how I feel about it until I tell her - and I shall never tell her unless she changes a good deal - or recovers herself. We were all pretty tired when we got into Rochester at 8:30 (or 9) and glad enough to see the smiling faces of Mama, Edith & Freddy. Edw had left his cap in the dining car, so he & Charella took a cab home. Ned went with Edith & Freddy & lunch & bed. Mama sheltered Claude & me. Had lunch June 17 Saturday. A warm day. Seems good to be home once more. Got up at nine and right after breakfast went down to Miss Harper's (10:15) and had a lovely shampoo - lasting over an hour. Mrs. Sunderlin & Lewis
were there while I was, and Mrs. Lindsay & "Adelaide". Ned & Edith came up and asked me to "meet"
