would evidently have done anything for me - if I'd let her. I see
her attitude but I don't believe in her
excuse - that is, I don't believe it really excuses her - but there is
no use in telling her. She will never understand how I feel about
it until I tell her - and I shall never tell her unless she changes
a good deal - or recovers herself. We were all pretty tired when
we got into Rochester at 8:30 (or 9) and glad
enough to see the smiling faces of Mama, Edith &
Freddy. Edw
had left his cap in the dining car, so he & Charella took a cab home.
Ned went with Edith & Freddy &
lunch & bed.
Mama sheltered Claude & me. Had lunch
June 17 Saturday.
A warm day. Seems good to be home once more. Got up at nine
and right after breakfast went down to Miss
Harper's (10:15) and had a lovely shampoo - lasting
over an hour. Mrs. Sunderlin &
Lewis
