boys to "Kiss King for him"! There was an awful accident to a World's Fair train in Michigan - 40 or 50 killed & I don't know how many injured - from DL & W way. Elmira, etc. It was dark early to-night and I walked home after six in real time dar night. (for the first time) It sprinkled softly and by the time supper was over it was a gentle but very wet warm summer rain - most soothing & pleasant. I spent the evening writing - to Frederica - a notelet to my Ned - and to Gertrude. I dream & walk now bed. Oct. 14th Saturday Cloudy. "Little Willie" started for the World's Fair. McCormack & Emerich are both here - meeting - one going to N.Y. & the other to Chicago. Claude met Fred Beach- just home & sick. Read this eve. Oct. 15. Sunday. Cloudy day. Read "Phillip" in the dining room all morning. Went down to S.S. but there was no class, so didn't stay. After dinner Mama & I walked over to Gordon's to make a call on Mrs. G. & the babies. Constance was quite sweet and Mama was shown thro' the house and Gordon & I
