Nov. 4. Sat.
Cloudy and cool. Looked like rain but didn't. Claude & "Con" came up in the office this morning and then
visited other offices and lunched with Otto
Block at the Whist Club. I went to the
Lyceum with Mama in the afternoon and saw the dear
little child- ren dance. The flowers - which were
tiny & the autumn leaves were the cutest and
the Old Maid the best. Little Mrs. Yankee Doodle - The Spanish girl
(Roma Paxton) were fine and the Old Maid herself. Fannie
Chapin & a little boy were "Cynthia &
Reuben" and sang it real cute. The game of checkers
was fine too - and the skipping rope dance by a little Jewish poppy
in the Flower Frolic. They were all loaded with boquets and between
acts Miss Eager had to come before the curtain (with the little Old
Maid).
Claude & Mr. H. were there and waited for us but I had to go back
to the office - where I stayed talking to Gil- more till most six. Read & wrote in the
evening. Talked with Mr. Hillman till
very late.
Edith & Mae were up to see me this p.m. and Nellie
tonight.
