at once for different directions - Ned
& her Aunt's, Will to make calls (North side) & I for the Art
Gallery - where I spent 4 solid hours - viewing the
English(especially) U.S. French & Loan exhibits with great delight.
Also went & into Japan, Holland,
Germany, Austria
Italy & Belguim - (Spain not yet open).
Met the Cutler's & J.G. urged me to "stay just as long as I liked". I didn't
think the rest of the Fair just
Sunday work - so I walked up thro' the island & past the lagoons
to the South End & took the car home - was there before
five. Ate supper with Claude (not much
good). He had been to Jero's wrote 5 or 6
letters. Got one from Edith (and
the other day one from Klem & one from
Fred Beach) & went to bed. Found
Ned
upstairs. She had been with Guy
all day - Her Aunt not home. Ed A.
went to Lincoln Park &c. with his friend.
Mr. Davidson, the Evangelist & his wife are here. I
saw them at tea.
June 12, Monday
Came over early. Ned, Will & I went
thro' the Agricultural again (a fine corn house by
N.Y.) and to the convent
