Edith & Mae were up & E. insisted on my coming down to supper so I consented. As I went out, at five, I met Mae coming back with a satchel & John's overcoat enroute for the Farm. Walked down. Met Claude & he tried to drive me home with the new Century. Halfway down I found Harry
and we walked down together. Edith took me right over to Elsie's (after she had showed me a sample of her new dress.) and I saw Elsie and the Baby. He's a real nice looking little fellow. We had quite a jolly, supper but my! Edith is blue! It made me meloncholy to be with her and I never could endure to go to New York with her - I know well enough. She gave me a load of flowers for Mama and
