A most ridiculous effort by some man on Lake Avenue (rejected by hanging committee!) Had some phosphate at Curran's & then came right home rather early. Ned had on her new green & gray dress, white hat & black coat. Edith her "golden" suit & I my dark green, yellow shoes & Paris hat May 26. Friday Cold today - turned into rain at noon. J.W. went to Buffalo & J.G. didn't do much. I shopped some more at noon & at night & after supper we had a grate fire & I marked handkerchief &c & sewed & wrote. Mama (with small assistance from me) is making my old brilliantine over in to 2 nice black skirts one with lace on. May 27. Saturday Nice Day. Took Nickie

Got my new organdie at noon. It is very pretty (much more so than it appears from samples) In the evening Frederica and Edith were up for a little visit - nothing special. May 28. Sunday A beautiful day. I got all ready for church & then sat down and read till time to go to Sunday. School. Walked part way down with Louise Stowell. Saw Mrs. Allen &
