I took sup- per at Harned's and then walked home via Belle Cotchefer's - as I had a question to ask her. Read "Diana" awhile - and then because Edith wrote me a nice little note to & Ned tho't I oughtn't to stay alone, I went down to Edith's to stay all night. Found Ned there smoking cubebs for a cold. We talked awhile & then went to bed - E. on the floor and me with Ned. Apr. 13. Thursday Got up early - about seven but didn't get started up town till must nine - such a long process as the toilet is down there. I can't endure such
