Klem and Miss Rogers and Ned got a lovely little seal ring (head of Zeus) & made me wear the rubies Gus gave her. We went to the corner of Broadway, too. Casper & got studs & cuff buttons for Edith. Took quite a long walk down Broadway (below Grace Church) looking for Prunnell's (tho' we didn't know the name then) and came back to the St Denis for lunch celery & water cress salad &c. Were quite sure Kenyon Cox,Will Low & St Gaudens sat at a table near us. We took the Broadway car up to the hotel and after our toilet & rather late (about 3) we started for Brooklyn in long coat (The one Helen gave me) & rubbers & umbrella - but it had stopped raining of course. Took the Broadway car down to the City Hall & then went across there to the bridge. What a dear old building the City Hall is - such a fine color & just weather stained enough to have the fine old detail stand out and the handsome columns. &c. We
