Mince Pie. Pumpkin Pie. Cheese. Oranges. Grapes &c.&c. A very nice dinner and served pretty well considering and real kind of comfortable and homey. Sat a long while at table & proposed some toasts but did not respond to them. Claude suggested for Ned "Color Combinations as Articles of Diet" and for Mama "Geordie" & for Papa "Home & Farm"! We talked a long time afterwards. Mamma Nourse looked real pretty in gray & pink & Dem too. & Edith & Ned. After a long talk we played Anagrams with "Illustrated" - no end of words. Libbie Parker came meanwhile and then we had nuts & good cider and fruit, & talked again. "Mamma" went about 7:30 (escorted by Claude) and then I changed my dress & went with the girls to the Davis's. Margaret McVean &c. were on the car. Had a pleasant evening
