Tuesday We got up about 6 or 6:30 and had to wait for these girls to make their toilet. One of 'em had the porter take a lamp down on the seat to heat her curling irons by! They asked us how to get to the Astor House and of course we knew all about it and told them in the most haughty manner! They put on their coats when we did &c. and I presume they tho't we were
