I washed the dishes &c. and came up at noon also & fussed around. At 5:30 Edith stopped for me and I went down there and stayed all night. Had a real good time. We talked & talked and Edith sewed some. She told me about Mrs. West, who was there Sunday. Nov. 1. Wed. A beautiful day. Up rather early & ate breakfast with Edith (& Harry later). At noon went home again Got a telegram from Claude (who went to Buffalo to meet Con. Hillman) saying they'd be home this evening. Put on my new dress (got this noon) and went to Charella's to-night. Rode up in the car with a lot of children from the Spiel Kartenfest. Had sup- per (dinner) with Charella and the children & we decided not to go to the Lyceum unless the boys came (I had left a note). Had a nice long evening's visit and before they went to bed Frank and Edward sang for me ("Birdie's Ball" - Tap, Tap, Tap" &c) Mrs. Allen came in from The Lyceum and was charming and intox- icated with the dancing and all.
