tea with Edith & Ned. Saw Ned's "Trousseau" prepared to go to N.Y. (the 20th) & got my four pretty new under waists which Edith made me for 25¢ a piece & the shirt waist for 50¢. Before supper we went over to Elsie's but the baby was asleep so I didn't see him. Had a little chat with Will . After supper we played Anagrams till Ida Watts & her friend came & we talked about the opera "Princess Ida" they want Edith to be in. As they were going (with Harry ) Mama came & we played anagrams again (I beat - 179 - Desirable) & then Mama saw the "trousseau' & Ned's new trunk and we came home about 10. Sept 17. Sunday Real cold - but bright & pleasant (& windy) Didn't go to to church but wrote & read. The girls came up rather late. Ned, Freddy & Edith. I took F 's picture but it was so late the light was very poor. Claude took mine - earlier in the day - but it wasn't good. When the girls went down, I walked down with them - to Main Street - and we all took cars. I went to Nell Jones' and stayed
