Edith is going away tomorrow & I'm en- gaged to "spend the day" with Ned. After supper I went right to bed. Aug. 13. Sunday A perfectly beautiful cool - "blue & white & green" day. This morning I took "groups" of the Page family Mr. & Mrs Page. & "Grandma" & Helen Hawthorne & Mary Bellyou. Then wrote awhile. Walked down to Ned's to dinner - via. Lake Ave. Found her reading the "Dramatic News". We got Frederica over and had a rather hilarious dinner and sat upstairs awhile & out in the hammock & in the parlor & talked. Ned said she missed me "at every corner" at the Point & expected to in N.Y - but I guess I'll be the one then. Edith came home late in the afternoon & I went over to Frederica's and got "The Rose & the Bird" & her father & mother came home with a horse & buggy - so we
