walk - it was so late. They invited us to stop at the
Arsnel for the 8th Separate Ball! I find
Mr. C. very entertaining, got home at
1:30.
Hamilton & Kate Davis are home for over Sunday. The first time all
the family have been together for years. Frank was invited tonight, but didn't go.
Nov. 27. Friday.
Rode down this morning, but it poured so I couldn't ride back. Got
material for a new brilliantine skirt. Staid home tonight
Nov. 28 Sat.
Colder today. Went to Gorton &
McCabe's
"Opening" tonight. Bought a cute little bronze Elephant for
Gurdon & an enameled
photograph holder for Helen Davis (I think)
After supper, took my "work" & went down to Ned's and she, Rose and I went to Edith's - I sewed awhile, while we talked, and then we
played Pedro - Edith & I
against Rose &
Ned - Had lots of fun. The first game
was, 52 & 15 in our favor, the second 54 & 12 and the third 24 and
6! Laughed all the way home.
Nov. 29. Sun.
Cold today - & cloudy. Staid home reading new
Harper, Scribner & McClure's
& writing. Washed dinner & breakfast dishes - made
blueprints for May Bunnell, "figured" and
at 4:30 went to Ned's - where I found
Edith - later Rose came. After the girls had supper (
Edith & I were invited but
didn't go in) Edith went home
& Ned & Rose & I performed with the paint box - Then Rose went to
Buell's and Ned
and I had a long old-fashioned talk.
