Si Weaver, Mabel & May Rogers, Mr. True, Mr AJ Warner, Mr. Degraff, Dr. Ewers, Mr. Shaw, Mr Childs and (later) Murray Crosby and Dr La Salle - That's all I think of now. The arch between the room was draped with cranberries strung - parsnips - squash red peppers &c. We each drew a card with a vegetable on it (mine green peas) and when we found our table (there were six) each found a box of candy to match. I played with Mr. True (Prof. True's son) first and won. I "progressed 3 times, as I only won 3 games (out of 9, I think!) but had a jolly time - tho' I don't care for euchre, & after Pedro. Ate supper at the fourth table, with Mr. & Mrs. Castle, Helen Davis, Murray Crosby & Hamilton Davis - We had a very, jolly time at table - and lettuce sandwiches, olives, coffee, cream & cakes, Mr. Crosby and Hamilton were both amusing and Helen too - as always - Mary got the first prize - a jeweled hat - pin - and Mr. Childs - a pocket comb. Dr. Ewers got booby - "Pointers" (framed - 2 dogs) and Mrs. Castle, Lura, Helen Davis & I played off for the booby & I got it - a cute cast of a donkey's head - "very cunning indeed, as J.G. says.
