M.Y. didn't come. We had a nice evening to- gether.
Mama went to Davis' to return

Concord which Charlotte
lent us. I rode to Ned's home.

overtook me coming up & was jolly & nice, as usual. He had
been at MacArthur's &c
May 8. Friday
Rained this morning so we couldn't ride. I decided to stay down -
Met Frank (Decker)
on Main St. It didn't rain at noon but I
stayed just the same - Met Ned & we
dined with Edith &
Miss Hall. Then Ned
& I went bicycle shopping & she bought a Victoria.
I stopped in at Scrantom's
tonight to give Frank
a note for Charlotte & he
invited me to ride to the park. Ned
came up on her wheel before we started & meet with us. Claude,
Papa & Mama saw us off. The park was lovely. We stopped on the
first hill. There spent a long time & then came back here &
spent the rest of the evening. Had a jolly time. Papa & Mama had gone
to a Delsartian
entertainment & no one was home.
May 9. Saturday
Lovely day but quite warm. I bought a floor pump for "Diana" & "Leo"
this noon (75¢) &c.&c. Watched some actors & actresses
across from the office learning to ride the bicycle. J.G. went golfing this p.m. (I wanted to.)
