Then had a "standing luncheon" of cider, doughnuts, peanut cookies and popcorn & Bob & I took a flashlight picture. Then we all packed our baskets &c. & rushed for the car which we "owned". Rode up to the terminus & back. Mrs. A. played on Lura's piano all the way down & Ned played too - we were just in time for the 12 o'clock car from dowm town. Dec. 27 It was 11:30 when I woke up today - 12 when I got up (or 12:15) And then I had a bath, so didn't get down stairs till one - & had dinner soon after. I did my 1896 accounts most of the remainder of the afternoon. A lovely crisp, cold, bright day, but I didn't go out. Wrote some in the evening. Theo came in and showed us his presents. Monday Dec. 28 A quiet day and an evening at home - for a wonder. Arranged Xmas things & hung pictures &c. Ned & Will O. went sleighing!
