Oct. 10. Saturday An Ideal October day. Sunny & nice too, J.G. played golf this p.m. and Gilmore let me go home - after we watched the bicyclists start on the Sea Breeze run. I went to Gorton & McCabe's to help plan a trip to Scottsville, and staid there quite a while visiting with the girls. Then stopped at the Erie to see about trains & Mr. Chan said he'd stop the 8:45 for us (It didn't generally stop) Then I went to Mary's & reported - was invited to go bicycling with her and Alice. Then I went to the Orphan Asylum to use the phone and staid to watch "Pedro" and visit Miss Dinehart. Then came home and spent a whole hour cleaning my wheel. I had promised to go to Edith's tonight, so rode my wheel as far as Ned's, left a note for her, and went to Scrantom's and bought "King Noanett". Ned & Rose came in and we went down to Edith's about quarter of 8, and staid an hour. Emma Mac A. was there - Edith walked down to the car with us. Ned was "hotty" and supercilious. I walked my wheel up with Emma. Then read. Oct. 11. Sunday Another ideal day. Even lovelier than yesterday. I went to church with Mama in the morning and walked home alone. After dinner I read "Sir George Tressady" until Lura & Charlotte came. Then we left
