we all (but the bicyclists) rode down as far as Lake
Avenue together. I got off with Ned & saw her into her room & then walked home -
feeling first-rate - but sunburned. Found Papa had been summoned to Syracuse,
about the State Fair.

Another nice day. J.G. is at the
Saratoga Convention (he went Monday), I inter-
viewed Theo & Frank &c. about
photographs. Stopped for a visit with Ned at noon &
Mary before supper
(when I got caught in the rain) Sorted photos. &c. tonight
Aug. 27 Thurs.
Matie Arnold came in today to say I
could have her ticket to the Wilbur's
tonight (all the girls are going). It is her birthday - Aug. 27th
and she told me about the watch "Bob" gives her, &c. &c. I had short
visits with Ned (at noon) & Mary
(at night) and Frank telephoned me
that
Helen had accepted the position of
"Physical Director" of the Y.W.C.A. new gym here! A
whole crowd of us went to see the
