YWCA & saw Helen Davis a
minute this noon & tonight went to the gymnasium & had her
take my measurements &c. She thought my breathing was first class -
"prize" I weigh 123 3/4 unadorned - Ned 128 1/2 -
Edith 96 and Rose 126. After supper we came up &
we went over to Miss Shelly's to see about our gym
suits. I walked down to the park with Ned and a nice black Kitten followed me home.
Mrs. Davis and Frank came and spent the evening. They
are entertaining.
Oct. 6th Tues.
Fine. The city is full of Christian Endeavor
and Main & State &c.
are decorated with white flags & blue letter
drawing
hung from each guy wire of the trolleys -
very effective indeed. The State convention is here.
J.G. got as angry as I ever saw him this
morning - with Mr. Kent for refusing to buy
#48 after all the preliminarys were arranged. It began to
rain tonight, just as Diana & I started
for home & I scorched - but was brought
to a sudden stop on the corner of
St.Paul & Court St. by a voice
which proved to be Rose's.
Helen Davis was with her waiting
for a car. I walked across the bridge with Rose - in the rain - but mounted on Spring
st. & was hailed by Ned as I sailed by No. 87. After supper
1896.
