I hurried into my silk waist (green) and over to May Bunnell's, where I was invited to tea. She is engaged to Albert Hartman, now. Had a nice chat with Mr. Bunnell before & delicious supper of escalloped oysters, salad, olives, coffee, potatoes, pears, grapes & cake &c. Dem came in before we had finished and went with Mr. & Mrs. A.O.

came over home with me. Sat up talking rather late. Oct. 21 Wed. Cold rainy in the night! Pleasant, earlyish breakfast & a meeting with the stage at 8:30. Edith rode up in it with me and Mama & the satchels went with the Dr. & Arbutus. The latter got very frisky on the top of the hill, but calmed down when a man patted her nose.
