five Miss Iles came along on her wheel and I followed her on mine. Wiltsie yelling after us that we must race back and he would be judge. I caught her half a mile up or so, and riding back we caught the sounds of hooters on the home stretch, so did a little "ringer" act and scorched in neck and neck over the line. The lads (big & little) howling and Alice Kodak- ing us with my little camera (but alas! I fear the button was not pressed - only pushed! It was a great success and the judge declared the prize - a box of candy - must be divided - which it was later on, a fine box of Lowney's chocolates - sealed & gold braided - and when our "sporty-boy" found he had been "ringed" he declared we were better to "doup" a man than any sports that ever tackled him and deserved the candy! I took a picture of Miss I, as we sat talking after the contest. I like her immensely - tho' most of my pictures of her are in her bicycle clothes. We got up home at 20 minutes of six (after doing a few figures of 8 on The beach) and found the people (3 new young women) eating supper, as "Belle

" and "Florence
" and "Clara
" were going to York Beach to the annual illumination. The Wolfe's, therefore, were last - but Wiltsie
