Windsor Beach & combed a little & ordered supper
cooked while we sat on a protected side piazza & watched a
picnic. A party of "kid" bicyclists & Mrs. Wm Hoyt as chaperone - were
eating. We had a pretty good sup- per (inside) Same waiter as before.
White fish, steak, poached eggs on toast - radishes - ice cream
& cake etc. Felt better & warmer. Took a stroll down to
board walk & the first car for home - where we arrived between 9 &
half-past.
Ned's wheel was here & I rode down home
with her (stopping for candy) Edith was there & I stopped in a minute. Found, when I
got home, Mary had been here & rode down there. Charlotte, Helen, Lura,
Miss Bruce, Mabel
Rogers, Mary, AliceNellie
are going to Charlotte in the
morning & want me to go. I do not if I'll feel like it. Jack Ballagh rode up the avenue with me
going home. I didn't say, above, that Frank Decker
met me Thursday night (I had to stay till six) & asked me to
ride - but it was too windy for that.
June 14. Sunday.
Woke up but didn't go to the lake
(the
Mac A's didn't either) Went to church
with Mama - Prof.
Riggs preached. Meta
Behn called me in, on my way home, to see some new pictures
&c. I lent her my photo, books, & was introduced to Dr. Davis. Just before dinner Mae & John came on
