same time & we ate cherries. Miss Lapham
has just taken her second degree at Vassar (she's a B.A., A.M. now) She's a demure little thing & Kate's particular chum. Lives in Fredonia. Kate goes there for vacation & Charlotte & Helen are thinking of riding down there with her - on their wheels. It was rather late when we started home. Charlotte rode to the bridge with us. We came thro' Rutger St. newly paved & very nice June 16th Tuesday. Staid down this noon and went with Mama to buy a skirt. Then met Ned & Edith & we went to Harned's to lunch. Had a hard thunder shower this p.m. Gilmore & I sat in the window & watched it. J.G. didn't come down. Went to Hovey's again for June 6th & 7th pictures just done! Ned came up after supper but it was pretty wet to ride - she went. I went down to Mary's a minute. Lost my slipper (off my wheel!) coming home. Had to pedal back in stocking foot after it - ! I made a plaid silk necktie and then read "Sir George Tressady" June 17th Wed. Pleasant. I rode in the street car all day. Felt about done up. J.G. went to play golf this p.m. so I came home about 4 to attend Mrs. Behn's lawn party (Orphans one side and others this side) The popcorn man was there - Donkey & all. Mrs. Behn showed me packed baskets for the children. Gallons of lemonade and then in I went to Amelie who is not well & was surrounded by pink carnations &. adorned by a pink wrapper - satin ribbons. &c. &c.
