I rode my wheel back. When I got ready for gym, it was raining much to my su- rprise - I stopped for the girls. We played basket ball and had lots of fun - My side beat Helen's 6 to 2. Then we changed positions (& Captains &c.) I was on Rose's side and we beat again 2-0. Bath and bed. Dec. 11. Friday. "Soggy" this morning - but didn't rain. Met Dr. & Mrs. Andrews at noon & had a chat. Did a little shopping and walked up with Mary & Warren Fisk. At 5:30 went down to gymnasium for Helen Davis & home to supper with her. Had a jolly supper, too. Sat next to Frank - Afterward Helen put on her pink Empire gown and I took two big flashlights of her & some little ones. Then went upstairs while she re-dressed and then we played pedro. Chat & I against Helen & "Papa" Davis and ate apples - Frank "blacked his shoes" etc. We ate apples more & each side beat and then we played "Telegrams" and "Consequence" and such "fool" games & wrote a collaborated letter to Helen Mary - sending her some "consequences" about her and Clark. Then went up stairs and Helen & I talked a long time. She told me all about Charlotte & "Will Hyde" of Dunkirk. I didn't sleep a bit, hardly, Dec. 12. Sat. Heard Frank Called early & Charlotte & us - & got up then half an hour before Helen, & saw the sun rise behind Cobb's Hill.
