Tonight I read. Took Gordon & Bragdon's pictures this noon. Oct. 3. Sat. Cloudy, but lovely air. This afternoon there was a big parade to welcome the candidate for governor Frank S. Black. J.G. was on the reception committee &c. I saw the 3rd & 12th ward clubs - but not the whole thing. Before five Gilmore & I "byked" out to the Campus and saw the last half of a very "rocky" foot ball match. YMCAs & Brockports. A pugilistic game - score 26-0 Rochester. Martha met us out there & "froze on". Rode down the avenue with Gilmore afterward - dear "Diana" is a help. After supper I went down to Geo. Aldridge's neighborhood & saw the Genesee Falls Band, Company A & 3rd ward club escort Mr. Black to Fitzhugh Hall. Edith was here an hour afterward. Bought material for my Gym suit.
