very pleasant corner & view but such! a supper First coffee - mud - & sausages (which I did not order) and then beans (some better) & then ice cream (goodish) We sat a long time at table anyway. First Claude visited us & after he went Alice came. Mary had a letter from Mrs. Graham which she read to me. I think she & Emma will go there in August. All but Edith & Emma rode around The Forest Road & then we all went down to Mary's & had root beer & a chat on the piazza. I was very much used by. The girls walked part way home with me and I found Theo had got me a #2 Bullseye camera to use. July 16. Thursday. Lovely cool, blue day. Spent over an hour cleaning my wheel this morning & this forenoon Mrs. Crump (& Mr. Dady & Mart & Mr. Gilmore & I) crated it to send to Ogunquit. I didn't leave the office till 1:30 and then staid home the rest of the day - working every minute from then till 12 at night (now) except for lunch & supper. Ironed, pressed, stitched, sewed, packed, planned, wrote, figured. &c. &c. Lew Jones had a nice new shutter put in my pocket Kodak. Theo gave me 2 - 4x5 plates. July 17. Friday. A beautiful day. Got down early, as Gilmore was going to Leroy. Took a long noon & did numerous errands. Saw Frank Davis & stopped at Mary's & Ned's. Gave Ned her birthday scissors & visited a little while she curled her hair. Finished up everything at the office & left.
