Claude & Frank ran & very exciting potatoe (stone) race. Then we sat on the bank of Red Creek (!) and watched a gorgeous sunset and rode talked till quite late - smelled the new - mown hay - too. It was beautiful there. Papa & Mama started back first. Then Frank pumped up his tire. (He had a "puncher") & we rode to our house & got there sometime before the "family". They staid half an hour or so & we enjoyed it. Talked about another picnic - on Cobb's Hill - Friday night. &c. After they went I read the papers. Looked at Harper's & wrote. June 25th Thursday A lovely day. Shopped some. Mama practiced with my Kodak, taking little Ray Ernisse's picture. Mary & Alice were up after supper, to ask me to go for a ride but I'd promised the girls to go to Mae's. Mary told me all about Joe Bloss's engagement to Buell's stenographer. They're to be Married June 30th. After they went & I got dressed I went down to Ned's & found her & Edith waiting. E. went on the car & Ned & I on our wheels. - We found them home & John talked & we chewed gum &c. and then Mr. & Mrs. Hoard came & we had some wine
