Claude 4 volumes of Thackery - Edith a case for carrying my Kodak and this a.m. came to the office" The Prisoner of Zenda"
from Mary. Then Mae Stull came in and invited me up there to spend Sunday (Ned is going). I went to Mary's a minute at noon, & when I got home found a gorgeous bunch of lilies-of-the valley from Charlotte. Took the car back to the office. Miss Rathjen went bicycling this p.m. J.G. went golfing & Gilmore came down & J.W. too - worse luck, so I didn't get away till after five, when Frederika came for me with big "Dan"

tried to run away with us frightened in the crowd, & we had quite a time with him but Freddie turned him around & got him started again all right. I met so many bicyclists I knew. It was a lovely ride. Met Mary coming up - 'way down ever so far.
